Welcome to the Corozal Community College. This September 2008 will be thirty years since our school first opened its doors. We are very proud to be celebrating thirty years of promoting excellence in education. Our motto is in pursuit of excellence, and we want all our students to always do their best and be successful. Many of our students refer fondly to our school as three Cs (CCC). This year we would like you to think of the three Cs in terms of cleanliness, collaboration and commitment. All these (cleanliness, collaboration and commitment) are key factors in achieving success.
The adage “Cleanliness is next to godliness” most certainly holds true today. In this global age in which we are living, it is imperative that we adhere to keeping our environment clean. Pollution has become one of our major problems. As members of the Corozal Community College and citizens of this country and world, we must stop the problem of pollution and littering. Moreover, who wants to be in an unpleasant environment? We have a responsibility to be good stewards of this earth. Together we can have a beautiful and clean world.
The other adage “No man is an island” becomes ever more true in this age of globalization. By working together, much can be accomplished. When we look around our school we should be reminded that it was build with hard work and much collaboration. Students and teachers along with parents need to always be collaborating to ensure the success of our young people. Through collaboration, we can build a better society living in harmony with self, others our environment and our maker.
In order to collaborate and be successful, we need to be fully committed. Hard work, the road to success, requires commitment. When we are committed, we will put forth our best effort and work hard to be successful. Students it is important that you be fully committed to your school work and sound Christian values. Commitment implies working hard and hard work leads to success.
Our theme this year is Success through cleanliness, collaboration and commitment. Let us all work hard this year to be successful in school and let us all make our world a better place to live. Remember: “Cleanliness is next to godliness”and “No man is an island”. Have a wonderful school year.
