Mission of Physical Education and Sports Department:
Promote the physical, spiritual and moral development of all students of the Corozal Community College through an establish Physical Education and Sport program.
Objectives: - To establish a Physical Education and Sport program that would be directed to physical, spiritual and moral development of all students of the Corozal Community College.
- Promote the practice of physical activity at all levels.
- Develop a Physical Education Program that would be inclusive, catering for students of different physical, social and ethnic back ground.
- Establish Sports Program that will contribute in the development of talented student/Athlete.
- Participate in Divisional, Regional Competition and International competition.
Physical Education
Our Physical Education program is set to prepare students physical, mentally, spiritually but over all our aim is to contribute to the development of an integrated citizen of this nation. The program provide students with a theoretical and practical knowledge of the different topic such as human body, laws of the game, social context of physical education and sports etc. The PE Program also focus on the development of the motor abilities and capacities of the students. With this program we are determine to change the mind set the students have towards physical eduction and sports in Belize. We give them the possibility to learn the science behind these them and to change that impression that PE is just to run and jump.
Sports
Our sports program is establish to development the talent of young student athletes. As our institution form part BAPSS (Belize Association of Principals of Secondary School) we participate in the Sporting competition organize by the there daughter organization NSSSA (National Secondary School Sports Association). We compete at the divisional with four other school from the Corozal District and at Regional tournament we compete against school from Orange Walk district and San Pedro Town. National tournaments is organized by the NSSSA. The tournaments of different sports such as Volleyball,Basketball, Football, Softball and Track and Field are played during the year.
